2019 will be the 64th Cambrian Rally, which started as a road rally, but since 1977 has been run in the North Wales forests. For 2019 the event will include a selection of the best forest stages in North Wales, with a compact road route and central service in Mostyn Street, Llandudno which has been closed for the event. The Visit Conwy Cambrian Rally will provide a fitting challenge to start the BTRDA championship year.
The Malcolm Wilson Rally provides 43 miles of rallying on the classic Lakes Stages, maintained in excellent condition by the Forestry Commission. The event is based at M-Sport Ltd, HQ of the Ford WRC Rally Team and is sponsored by the Team Manager – Malcolm Wilson, who enjoys watching for budding stars. Scrutineering on Friday 8th will take place in the Main Street in Cockermouth between 2.00pm and 9.00 pm. This will be under floodlights and will be an opportunity to see the cars as they go through safety and compliance checks. M-Sport will have their World Rally Championship winning car on display.
